Sumario: | Common problems in astroparticle physics and other particle physics are discussed in the context of a recent report of a committee advisory to the U.S. Department of Energy. The increasing overlap between astrophysics and traditional particle physics is noted, and the challenges of new problems such as dark energy and dark matter are discussed. An update is also given on planned accelerator experiments at the CERN LHC relevant to the analysis of ground-based cosmic ray data. A few philosophical observations close this discussion. |
