Sumario: | The ATLAS detector will fully exploit the large b-quark production rate which is expected from the LHC. The ATLAS Collaboration has performed studies of the likely potential of a full angular analysis of the B/sub s//sup 0/rightward arrowJ/psiphi decay. The observables depend on several parameters of physics interest, and the likely available data restrict fits to a subset of those interesting parameters. A measurement of the weak phase if it follows the standard model would be extremely challenging, but the same analysis would be sensitive to many standard model extensions. |
