Dilepton pair production at the LHC
We discuss a number of aspects of lepton pair production, especially electron-positron pair production in ultraperipheral heavy ion collisions at the LHC. The strong fields of the two ions interacting for a very short time, lead to large cross sections and also new phenomena in these collisions.
