description In 2007, at CERN in Geneva, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) will start its operations. It will produce 14 TeV pp collisions. At one of the interaction point will be located the ATLAS (A Toroidal LHC Apparatus) detector. This general purpose detector has been designed to collect a maximum of information on these collisions and to select the most interesting ones. Among those are events that contain top quarks. At these energies, several millions of ttmacron are expected to be collected during the first year of running. After a quick review of top quark production modes at the LHC, selected examples will be given of ATLAS performances to achieve top quark physic analysis.
