The alignment system of the barrel part of the ATLAS muon spectrometer
The alignment system of the muon spectrometer of the LHC experiment ATLAS is described. Emphasis is put on the optical systems, and the fitting programs used to calculate the actual muon chamber positions. Finally, some results validating the alignment are briefly shown.
