Sumario:Heavy Stable Charged Particles can be searched for with the CMS experiment. Such particles can be distinguished by Standard Model particles exploiting their unique signature: a high momentum particle of the order of a hundred GeV with a low relativistic $\beta$ value. In this talk two models predicting different types of Heavy Stable Charged Particles are described and used as benchmark models for the search analysis strategy. Two techniques to measure $\beta$ using the silicon tracker and the drift tubes in the muon detector are used in the proposed analysis. The reach for different models in 100 pb$^{-1}$ integrated luminosity is shown.
