Proposal for the award of a contract for the supply of radiation-hard stepping motors and resolvers for the LHC collimators

This document concerns the award of a contract for the supply of 555 radiation-hard stepping motors and 492 resolvers for the LHC collimators. The Finance Committee is invited to agree to the negotiation of a contract with MACCON (DE), the lowest bidder, for the supply of 555 radiation-hard stepping motors and 492 resolvers for the LHC collimators for a total amount of 994 447 euros (1 541 540 Swiss francs), not subject to revision, with options for up to 200 additional stepping motors with 200 resolvers, for an additional amount of 363 456 euros (563 410 Swiss francs), not subject to revision, bringing the total amount to 1 357 903 euros (2 104 950 Swiss francs), not subject to revision. The rate of exchange used is that stipulated in the tender.
