Data driven methods for the control of the background are discussed, appropriate for the preparation for first data. The discovery potential and exclusion limit for a ${\rm W'}$ heavy vector boson, including systematic effects for $ {\rm 100~pb^{-1}} $ integrated luminosity, are presented.
