Sumario: | After a short introduction of Supersymmetry, the signatures of the expected events and the detectors available to measure the events, the discovery potential for SUSY in the different channels is presented. Starting with the event selection for the inclusive 4jets+missing transverse energy + 0 leptons channel as an example the resulting signal and background is presented for the benchmark scenarios of both experiments, ATLAS and CMS. The discovery reach for this channel and inclusive channels with additional leptons is discussed, also in view of the initial running period. Then also other interesting channels like SS dimuons for CMS and 4jets+tau for ATLAS are presented. In case the squarks are heavy, the best hope to find SUSY is in the trilepton analysis, although more luminosity will be needed. Finally the potential to determine SUSY mass parameters from early data is discussed. |
