description | Besides Standard Model measurements and other beyond-Standard-Model studies, the ATLAS and CMS experiments will search for Supersymmetry (SUSY). The SUSY discovery potential corresponding to the first fb-1 of LHC data will be presented. I will discuss "traditional" searches for generic SUSY models with R-parity conservation at the LHC, based on signatures including missing transverse momentum, multiple jets and leptons. Examples of studies aiming at measuring the sparticle masses and other SUSY properties will be briefly reviewed. Moreover non-standard signatures of particular SUSY scenarios will be reviewed. These signatures include non-pointing photons, expected in GMSB models, as well as heavy stable charged particles, such as sleptons and R-hadrons, produced in Split Supersymmetry models. |
