Training the dipoles
During the hardware commissioning in 2008 more than 30 training quenches were performed in the main dipole circuits in sectors 45, 56, and 78. An overview of these quenches will be given, and the quench levels will be compared to the training observed in SM-18. Quench propagation to adjacent dipoles...
