Search for mini-black holes with ATLAS

SUSU09 ATLAS Presentation Models with extra dimensions have been proposed to solve outstanding problems of the SM.In some of those models the strength of gravity is increased at Tev energies and unified with the electroweak interaction. In this case, the production at the LHC of mini-black holes, decaying by Hawking radiation into large multiplicity and highly energetic final states, is expected. The discovery potential of ATLAS to detect those objects in early data is discussed.
