Sumario: | Testing of superconducting magnets for Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is nearing completion in SM18 Test Facility. Magnet testing in SM18 is a co-operative effort of three different teams, namely the Operation Team, the Cryogenics Team, and the Industrial Consortium ICS. Within the framework of benefits as well as limitations offered by this collective effort, an appreciable throughput of 16-18 magnets per week has been achieved in SM18. In this paper, an attempt is made to analyze the efficiency of testing the majority component (dipoles), with the help of supporting statistics. |
