The high frequency longitudinal and transverse pick-ups used in the SPS

Part I of this report describes the various wideband longitudinal and transverse pick-ups which are used in the SPS for beam observation. The detail desgin of each pick-up is given, together with a description of its performance and how it is used in the machine. Part II describes in similar detail two narrowband pick-ups, the phase pick-up used in the phase loop of the low-level radio frequency accelerating system, and the Schottky scan pick-up, a tunable high frequency pick-up used for measurements of momentum spread in the proton beam.
