Sumario:ATLAS is one of the general purpose detectors at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, designed to search for for a wide range of new physics phenomena. In order to fulfill this design brief, a precise, fast, radiation-hard tracking system is crucial. I will describe the design and operation of the ATLAS Semiconductor Tracker, and will show some results from recent cosmics running.
