Sumario: | The main objective of this Thesis was to develop an analytical control method for line-commutated converters in Discontinuous Conduction Mode (DCM), suitable for high-performance current sources. The particular purpose was to make it with low computational burden in order to allow its on-line implementation in a Digital Signal Processor (DSP). A theoretical study of line-commutated converters in DCM together with different methods proposed in the bibliography has been made. The converter and the associated load have been characterized in order to obtain a compensation function that could be implemented in a DSP. Analytical developments for typical loads have been made, among them: RLE, LC and LC with a linear approximation of capacitor voltage. The proposed method was veri ed by means of simulation on a current source. The simulation characteristics were carefully chosen in order to re ect the further practical implementation. Finally, the method was experimentally tested and validated on a real current source obtaining results comparable to the simulations. The method fully accomplishes the requirements of precision and simplicity of implementation. |
