Top Quark Pair Production Cross Section at LHC with ATLAS

Sumario:The prospects for measuring the top quark pair production cross section with the ATLAS detector at a center-of-mass energy of 10 TeV and an integrated luminosity of 200 pb-1 is presented here, using decays with one or two leptons (electrons and muons) in the final state. Both in the single lepton and the dilepton channel the measurement is performed without the use of tagging jets from a b-quark. The study aims to reestablish the top signal with first data at the LHC.
