Sumario: | We present preliminary ideas and feasibility studies of a L1 track trigger for the ATLAS detector upgrade for super-LHC. These studies so far indicate that a design based on the selective readout of regions of interest in the tracker, driven by the L1 Muon and Calorimeter information, is best suited for ATLAS. We describe the details of this approach, its advantages and the implications for the ATLAS upgrade programme. |
