Sumario:This note describes the method developed to optimize the readout timing of the LHCb VELO detector. The requirements and challenges of the method are discussed, and the performance of the method is tested using simulated data. Finally, the method is applied and its accuracy is investigated, first using particles created in so-called TED runs, and finally with particles created by proton-proton collisions at 450 GeV.
