Sumario: | The LHCb experiment at the LHC will soon start to collect a very large sample of B mesons and hadrons of all types that will allow an improvement in the experimental knowledge of many rare decays. The expected LHCb performances in some of the most promising channels are reviewed, underlining the improvements with respect to the precision of current measurements. The study of rare decays can be viewed as an indirect way of probing physics processes beyond the Standard Model (NP). The LHCb capabilities in constraining such NP models through the studies of rare decays are discussed. |
