Sumario:The present note indicates the transverse beam sizes of high intensity (NORMGPS and CNGS) and small beam spot (LHC-25A) PS Booster beams at the PS Booster dump. The results are derived from simulations of the transfer line between PS Booster exit and beam dump (BT and BTM lines), for which a series of beam profile measurements with SEM grids in front of the PS Booster dump serves as experimental input data. The data are processed by means of the Three-Monitor-Method to obtain beam parameters for beam evolution calculations at a reference point close to the PS Booster ejection point. Then, the beam is traced forward to the PS Booster dump. Finally, the transverse beam sizes at the PS Booster dump are calculated including a correction of the evolution results for a contribution of the horizontal dispersion.
