description Results obtained in the framework of the NA63 experiment at CERN in 2009 are reported. The 'semi-bare electron', i.e. the distortion of the Coulomb field following a scattering event as evidenced by the suppressed radiation emission in thin targets, was studied experimentally in the spring run and has been published. Synchrotron radiation emission in the quantum regime, relevant for beamstrahlung phenomena in future linear colliders such as CLIC, was studied experimentally in the autumn run and preliminary results are presented. Plans for the future have been presented separately in an addendum to our proposal.
