Sumario: | The prospects for Higgs boson searches using the $H\rightarrow WW^{(*)}\rightarrow \ell\nu \ell\nu~(\ell=e,\mu)$ decay mode at ATLAS are presented, including realistic detector effects and a discussion of methods to estimate the backgrounds and systematic errors. Events are separated into three sets of analyses according to the hadronic jet multiplicity. The sensitivity of the ATLAS detector is computed for 10 TeV proton-proton centre-of-mass energy and assuming a data set of an integrated luminosity of 200\,pb$^{-1}$. With these conditions a Standard Model Higgs boson with a mass in the range $160-170\,\gev$ can be excluded with a 95\% Confidence Level. |
