Sumario:The ability to identify jets containing b-hadrons is important for the high-pT physics program of a general-purpose experiment at the LHC such as ATLAS. One of the tagging algorithms suitable for early data is the JetProb algorithm which takes advantage of the accurate measurement of the transverse impact parameter of charged tracks provided by the ATLAS Inner Detector. The behaviour of the algorithm is studied on the 900 GeV collision data where the vast majority of selected jets are not from heavy-flavours, and is found to compare well with expectations from Monte Carlo simulation.
