Sumario:Jet production in pp events at √s = 7 TeV with the ATLAS detector is discussed. A brief description of the basic ingredient needed to define jet in ATLAS is given discussing the calorimeter signal used to build jets, the jet reconstruction algorithm and the calibration scheme. A full discussion of the characteristics and kinematics of jets is given after a description of the first jet energy scale tests.
