Sumario:We report a measurement of the inclusive b-jet production cross section from pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s} = 7$~TeV using data collected by the CMS experiment with an integrated luminosity of 60~${\rm nb^{-1}}$. The jets with transverse momentum in the range $18 < p_T < 300$~GeV are reconstructed with the anti-$k_T$ algorithm with cone size $R=0.5$ using Particle Flow objects. The b jets are identified with a secondary vertex tagger. The results are presented in several rapidity intervals within the tracker acceptance $|y| < 2.0$. The experimental uncertainties from jet energy reconstruction and luminosity are reduced by taking a ratio of the b-jet production cross section to the inclusive jet production cross section. The ratio is found to be in good agreement with expectations based on calculations made with Pythia and with NLO QCD. We find a global scale factor of $0.99 \pm 0.02\mathrm{(stat)} \pm 0.21\mathrm{(syst)}$ between data and Pythia in the range $30 < p_{T} < 150$~GeV and $|y|<2.0$, with a fit $\chi^2 / NDF = 43.4 / 47$.
