Sumario:A measurement of jet shapes and particle distributions within jets is presented using proton-proton collision data collected with the CMS detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. Jets are characterised by the relative amount of energy released in a cone around the jet axis and by the multiplicity and transverse momentum distributions of charged particles. The measurements are compared to predictions based on leading order matrix elements complemented with parton radiation and recent tunes for the energy flow due to the underlying event.
