Sumario: | The response of the ATLAS Calorimeters to hadrons in the energy range of 2 to 350 GeV produced at CERN's Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS) H8 test beam line has been measured. The article summarizes the results from combined test-beam, during which the full slice of the ATLAS detector was exposed to the beam, as well as results from standalone hadron Tile Calorimeter beam test with special configuration allowing to measure the longitudinal development for pion and proton induced showers up to 20 nuclear interaction lengths. The data are compared with GEANT4 simulations using several hadronic interaction models. |
