Sumario:The discovery potential of the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider for charged Higgs bosons in top quark decays $t\rightarrow H^+b$ with subsequent decays $H^+→\tau\nu$ has been investigated for hadronic $\tau$ final states as predicted by the Minimal Supersymmetric Extension of the Standard Model. Emphasis is put on the data-driven estimation of the dominant background of top-antitop events.
