Sumario:We present an analysis strategy based on Monte Carlo simulations for measuring the WW and WZ production cross sections in pp collisions with the CMS detector. We describe suitable requirements for background reduction and data-driven methods to estimate the remaining backgrounds. We report the event yields and statistical and systematic uncertainties that we expect to achieve with a few hundred inverse picobarns.
