Sumario: | The ATLAS detector has been used to search for high-mass states, such as new heavy charged gauge bosons, decaying to an electron plus missing energy. Based on pp collisions at a center of mass energy of 7TeV produced at the Large Hadron Collider, we present limits on the cross section times branching ratio of W' to e\nu, using the Sequential Standard Model (SSM) W' as a benchmark model. With a total integrated luminosity of 317/nb, we exclude W' particles with masses below 465GeV at 95% CL. |
