JACoW: A Service to the Accelerator Community

This year, at the first International Particle Accelerator Conference, the IPAC’10 Organizing Committee (OC) “acknowledges the achievement of the JACoW team and thanks all those involved in JACoW for their efforts to further the dissemination of scientific knowledge throughout the accelerator community”. This echoes and reiterates the recognition expressed by the EPAC and PAC Organizing Committees during EPAC’04 in Lucerne. JACoW an international collaboration in electronic publication of accelerator conference proceedings, through pooling resources, sharing experience, and with a hefty dose of good will, is a perfect demonstration of the internationality of the accelerator field and the importance of close collaboration at all levels
