Sumario: | In this diploma thesis first differential measurements of event topologies containing an isolated muon and additional jets are presented. The measurement corresponds to an integrated luminosity of $3 pb^{-1}$ of data collected by the CMS-detector at a center of mass energy of $\sqrt{s} = 7 TeV$. The cross sections are shown as a function of the transverse momentum and the pseudo-rapidity of isolated muons in event categories with at least one, two, three or four jets. The transition from regions of phase space dominated by the production of vector bosons with additional jets towards regions dominated by the production of top anti-top quark pairs is studied. Especially for the lower jet multiplicity categories such measurements are possible in an early state of the experiment. When normalized to the inclusive event yield they provide robust measurements. Based on this the production cross section of top anti-top quark pairs is estimated. Furthermore, also differential cross sections for the production of top anti-top quark pairs as a function of the transverse momentum and the pseudorapidity of the final state muon are presented. |
