Sumario: | The LHCf experiment has been designed to precisely measure the γ and n energy spectra in the very forward region at LHC; these measurements are important to calibrate the Monte Carlo models widely used in the High Energy Cosmic Ray induced air showers analysis, allowing a better understanding of the experimental systematics. LHCf has started the data taking at the end of 2009, at 900 GeV center of mass energy, and has later on continued the data taking during the first part of 2010, when LHC center of mass energy was increased up to 7 TeV. Preliminary results of 900 GeV and 7 TeV data taking periods are reported in this paper. |
