Sumario:The Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) has recorded first collision data. The Electromagnetic Calorimeter (ECAL) of CMS is a high resolution detector comprised of nearly 76000 lead tungstate crystals, playing a critical role in physics searches undertaken by CMS. The performance of the CMS ECAL with first 900 GeV collision data will be discussed.
