New Physics with the ATLAS detector: experimental prospects

Sumario: | During 2010 the ATLAS detector has collected $sim 40$~pb$^{-1}$ of {it proton-proton} collisions at $sqrt{s}=7$~TeV. These data have been used for a wide range of searches such as high-mass final states and contact interactions. Early inclusive SUSY searches have been also performed for a wide range of final states. The most recent results for search of physics beyond the Standard Model with the ATLAS detector are presented. Prospects for physics searches with $sim 1$~fb$^{-1}$ of data will be discussed together with the most relevant performance results. |
