Sumario:The response of the ATLAS calorimeters to jets is studied by balancing the transverse momenta of dijets in pp collisions at sqrt(s)=7 TeV using 35 pb^(-1) of integrated luminosity. The results indicate that the jet response, measured relative to a central reference region, is well understood for high transverse momentum jets across the full calorimeter. For jets with transverse momentum above 60 GeV, the deviation between data and MC-predictions is about 2% for jets with |eta|<2.8, rising to approximately 4% in the region |eta|>2.8. For jets with transverse momentum of approximately 20 GeV, the deviation between data and MC predictions is somewhat larger, being about 3% for jets with |eta|<2.1, 6% for 2.1<|eta|<2.8 and 11% for 3.6<|eta|<4.4.
