Sumario: | ATLAS prepared a program for measurements of production cross sections both of b-hadrons and Onia in proton-proton collisions. Even with early data , a dedicated suite of triggers based on muon and di-muon signatures are required to accommodate the large statistics. After a few pb^-1 of 7TeV collision data have been taken at the LHC, ATLAS has been able to start probing the new energy regime with decays of the psi and Upsilon families of mesons into pairs of muons, the open charm and open beauty sector. In this talk, the early measurements and observations taken with 7 TeV energy proton-proton collisions with the ATLAS detector will be presented for the J/Psi and Upsilon, and observations of B-hadrons, such as B±to J/Psi K±. Crucial to all of these measurements are the performance of the muon triggers and the offline muon reconstruction and identification, as well as the inner detector performance and tracking. |
