| Sumario: | The measurement of the top pair production cross section is one of the milestones of the early LHC physics programme. The talk focuses on the measurement performed on 2.9/pb of proton-proton collision data provided by the LHC at 7 TeV and collected by the ATLAS detector. With 37 and 9 events observed in the single lepton and di-lepton final states respectively, the inclusive top quark pair production cross section is measured to be sigma = 145 +/- 31 +42 -27 pb. |
