ATLAS Calorimeter Response to Single Isolated Hadrons and Estimation of the Calorimeter Jet Scale Uncertainty

Sumario:The ATLAS calorimeter response to single isolated hadrons is measured using an integrated luminosity of approximately 866~$mu b^{-1}$ of proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s} = 7$ TeV collected during 2010 by the ATLAS experiment. The calorimeter jet energy scale uncertainty is also addressed, propagating the response uncertainty of single charged and neutral particles to jets. The calorimeter uncertainty is 2--5\% on central isolated hadrons and 1--3\% on the final calorimeter jet energy scale.
