LHCb semileptonic highlights from 2010 and prospects for 2011

Sumario: | Now, at the end of the 2010 LHC run, the LHCb experiment has collected ~38 pb$^{-1}$ of $pp$-collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. With such a data sample we are able to measure several features of semileptonic $b$-decays, such as the exclusive branching ratios of $B^{0}_{s/d}{\to}D^{(*)(*)}\mu\nu$ states necessary to constrain the $B_s^0$-system, determine $V_{cb}$, and later measure $V_{ub}$. I present a summary of the work so far on this topic in the first $~38$ pb$^{-1}$, including the first observation of $B_s\to{D}^{*+}_{s2} X \mu\nu $ and also the prospects for the measurement of flavour-specific asymmetry, $a_{fs}$ in 2011. |
