Sumario: | A scoping study of a mercury target for the Multi-Megawatt Proton-to-Neutron Converter of theEURISOL Project has been made at PSI using the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) codeCFX-4. A mesh model of a horizontal target with forced circulation was used which had beenoriginally proposed for the European Spallation Source (ESS).
