Sumario:A poster to be presented at PLHC 2011 in Perugia on the response of the ATLAS calorimeter to single charged hadrons and its propagation to the uncertainty on the calorimeter jet energy scale. The response of the ATLAS calorimeter to single charged hadrons has been measured for momenta between 0.5 and 20 GeV and |eta| < 2.3. This response is measured by comparison of the sum of energy deposits in a cone of R-0.2 around the extrapolated position of a track and that track's momentum. The response measured in data matches that generated by Monte Carlo to within 2-5%. This is then used in conjunction with test beam data to estimate the bias and uncertainty of the jet energy scale uncertainty in the ATLAS detector.
