| Sumario: | The high resolution of the LHCb vertex detector makes it possible to perform precise measurements of vertices of beam-gas and beam-beam interactions and allows beam parameters such as positions, angles and widths to be determined. Using the directly measured beam properties the novel beam-gas imaging method is applied in LHCb for absolute luminosity determination. In this contribution we briefly describe the method and the preliminary results obtained with May 2010 data. |
