| Sumario: | The CMS electromagnetic calorimeter (ECAL) is described as well as its expected performance and recent ECAL commissioning results. Electron and photon reconstruction are then described, starting from the reconstruction of energy deposits in the ECAL by energy clustering algorithms, then proceeding with electron tracking. Electron and photon selection are described. The commissioning of electron and photon physics objects from the measurement of electroweak processes is also shown. |
