Sumario:ATLAS and CMS have a broad heavy flavor physics program, ranging from charmonium and bottomonium studies, to the study of the properties of the b-hadrons, to the search for rare decays sensitive to new physics effects. We review in this paper some of the expected measurements by ATLAS and CMS with particular attention to the measurements foreseen on the first data collected in the first physics run at the LHC expected toward the end of 2009.
