description This document updates the status of the OPERA experiment after the last SPSC report of June 2010. The report presents the progress of the various subsystems and informs about the recent start of the 2011 run. Here, we focus on the completion of the 2008+2009 run analysis and on the status of the 2010 run analysis. In particular, we focus on the procedures used to locate the neutrino interactions in the target, and to search for decay topologies and give the corresponding efficiencies by using charmed particle decays as a control sample. We then provide details of the improvements made in the knowledge and in the reduction of the background.
