Measurement of correlated bb cross section with dimuons

A measurement of the inclusive cross section for the process \mbox{$ pp\rightarrow b\overline{b} \mbox{X} \rightarrow \mu \mu \mbox{Y}$} at $\sqrt{s} = 7 $ TeV is here presented, based on an integrated luminosity of $27.9$ pb$^{-1}$ collected by the CMS detector at the CERN LHC collider. Sumario:A measurement of the inclusive cross section for the process \mbox{$ pp\rightarrow b\overline{b} \mbox{X} \rightarrow \mu \mu \mbox{Y}$} at $\sqrt{s} = 7 $ TeV is here presented, based on an integrated luminosity of $27.9$ pb$^{-1}$ collected by the CMS detector at the CERN LHC collider. Selecting pairs of muons with transverse momentum $p_T>4$ GeV/c and pseudorapidity $|\eta|<2.1$, the value $\sigma (pp\rightarrow b\overline{b} X \rightarrow \mu \mu Y)=26.18\pm0.14 \mbox{ (stat.) }\pm2.82\mbox{ (syst.) }\pm1.05\mbox{ (lumi.) }$ nb is obtained. This result is compared to the QCD prediction at LO and NLO precision.
