Inclusive $X(3872)$ production in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV

The inclusive production of the $X(3872)$ meson in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV is studied using 34.70 $\,\,{\rm pb}^{-1}$ of data collected with the LHCb detector during the 2010 physics run of the LHC. Candidates are reconstructed and selected in the $X(3872) \to J/\psi \pi^+ \pi^-$ decay mode, and used to obtain the preliminary result \begin{equation*} \sigma(pp\to X(3872)+\ldots) \times \mathcal{B}(X(3872) \to J/\psi\pi^+\pi^-) = 4.74 \pm 1.10 {\rm (stat)} \pm 1.01 {\rm (syst)} \,\, {\rm nb} \,, \end{equation*} where $\sigma(pp\to X(3872)+\ldots)$ is the inclusive production cross-section of $X(3872)$ mesons with rapidity $y$ in the range $2.5-4.5$ and transverse momentum $p_{\rm T}$ in the range $5-20 {\rm GeV}/c$.
