Sumario:The standard model cross-sections for Wtaunu and Ztautau processes are measured with 36 ipb of LHC data collected by the ATLAS detector. The cross section for Z bosons decaying to two taus are measured in four channels: where one tau decays hadronically while the other decays to an electron, where one tau decays hadronically while the other decays to a muon, where one tau decays to an electron while the other decays to a muon, and where both taus decay to a muon. The cross-section for W bosons decaying to a tau and a neutrino are measured when the tau decays hadronically. A total cross-section of 11.6 pm 0.3(stat) pm 1.7(sys) pm 0.4(lumi) nb is measured for the Wtaunu process, while a total cross-section of 0.97 pm 0.07(stat) pm 0.06(sys) pm 0.03(lumi) is measured for the Ztautau process.
